4. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
4.1 Introduction. In order to properly prepare an SRS for Fans and

4.3 Configurationo
4.3.1 Dimensions. SRS requirements for dimensions described in DOD-STD-35
are applicable to Fans and Impellers.
4.3.2 Illustrations. Illustrations applicable to Fans and Impellers are
contained in Appendix A to this document.
4.4 Units of measure. The International System of Units (SI) or inch-
pound units (U.S.), may be used to specify characteristics (e.g. weight,
dimensions), Refer to ASTME380 for guidance in using SI. However, when
different units of measure are available for specifying a characteristic,
only one may be used. Both units of measure cannot appear in the same
MSE.
